Overall, it can be fun to experiment with new recipes, especially if it means providing your body with the best ingredients for a healthy life. Here are a few of our favorites!
Greek-Inspired Rice Salad
1 cucumber
1 avocado
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved lengthwise
1/2 cup sliced red onions
Feta cheese
1 cup dry, uncooked lentils (dry for measuring, cooked for recipe)
1 cup uncooked rice (dry for measuring, cooked for recipe)
5 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp honey
Directions: Cook lentils and rice based on the instructions on the bag. Combine with the rest of the ingredients listed and toss into a nice salad.
Collagen Guacamole
2 avocados
1 tomato, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1 tbsp Primal Collagen
Fresh parsley
Lime, salt, black pepper
Directions: Mash the avocados until desired consistency, then mix in the rest of the ingredients listed until collagen is no longer visible.
Collagen Crepes
200g flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
400ml milk
1 tbsp Primal Collagen
Directions: Put some coconut oil in a pan and wait until it’s melted. Add enough batter to just cover the surface and swirl it! When the edges are peeling away from the sides of the pan, shake it to see if the pancake is easily released and is browning on the underside. If so, flip and cook the other side for a minute or two.
Swedish-Inspired Chocolate Balls
2 scoops of Primal Collagen
50g softened butter or 2 bananas
50g sugar or another sweetener (or leave it out 😉)
125g oat flakes
25g baking cocoa
1 cup of double espresso or alternatively 1 cup of coffee
100g coconut flakes
Directions: Mix everything and put it in the fridge for 1 hour until solid. Keep up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
Greens Acai Bowl
1 cup frozen acai puree, slightly thawed
1 banana 1/4 cup pineapple
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1/4 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tbsp honey
1 scoop Primal Greens
Fresh fruit
Granola
Assorted nuts
Shredded coconut
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions: Blend the acai puree, banana, pineapple, berries, yogurt, Primal Greens powder, and almond milk together in a high-powered blender until smooth. Top with fresh fruit slices, honey, granola, nuts, coconut flakes, and chocolate chips. Other toppings: chia seeds or hemp seeds.
Hydration Mocktail
1 stick Primal Hydration
1 cup coconut water
1 tbsp lime juice
Ice
Directions: Mix the ingredients together in a glass until Primal Hydration is no longer visible. Add more ice if needed.
Scrambled Eggs with Basil, Spinach, and Tomatoes
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tomatoes, halved
4 large eggs
4 tbsp natural bio yogurt
⅓ small pack of basil, chopped
175g baby spinach
Directions: Heat 1 tsp oil in a large non-stick frying pan, add the tomatoes and cook over medium heat. While they are cooking, beat the eggs together with the yogurt, 2 tbsp water, plenty of black pepper, and basil. Add in the spinach to wilt, pour in the egg mixture, and stir every now and then until scrambled. Enjoy!
Magnesium Mango Salad
500g chicken breast (1 large chicken breast)
1 cup mixed greens
150g Greek yogurt
1 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. mixed herbs of choice
1 avocado, diced
1 mango, diced
Feta cheese to taste
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Directions: Grill chicken over preheated medium-high heat until cooked through. Toss together the rest of the ingredients and place chicken on top. Tip: top with cashews for extra protein and crunch!
Sugar-Free Apple Crumb Muffins
Dry:
300g flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Wet:
100g butter, melted
150g applesauce
150ml milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1 apple
2 tsp. cinnamon
Crumble topping:
125g flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cardamom
1 tsp. cloves
100g butter
1 tbsp. maple syrup
Directions: Mix together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Then mix in wet ingredients until smooth. Dice apple and mix together with cinnamon, set aside. For the crumble topping, mix together ingredients until crumble-like consistency. Mix half of the apple into the batter and spoon into muffin tins. Top each muffin with more apples and crumble topping. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Edible Collagen Cookies
2 medium Japanese sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into ½ inch pieces (about 2 heaping cups)
¾ cups canned coconut milk
1 Tbs. coconut butter
1 Tbs. coconut flour
1 Tbs. coconut sugar, maple syrup or raw honey (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 scoops Primal Collagen
Pinch of salt
¼ cup chocolate chips
Directions: Steam the peeled/chopped sweet potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
In a food processor, blend the sweet potatoes with the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate chips) until creamy. Make sure the mixture is cool before stirring in the chocolate chips. Enjoy or store in the fridge for a few days.
Collagen Pancakes
¼ cup almond milk
2 eggs
1 egg white
1 banana
2 cups rolled oats
1-2 scoops Primal Collagen
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 - 2 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Directions: Put almond milk, eggs, egg white, banana, rolled oats, Primal Collagen, vanilla, maple syrup, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a blender. Blend for 30 seconds until the oats are smooth. Use batter to make pancakes over medium-high heat. Top with syrup or nut butter.
Turmeric Energy Balls
3x capsule content of Turmeric Complex
140 g cashew nuts 180 g pitted dates
20 g grated coconut
Directions: Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix until a sticky mass is formed. Form small balls with your hands. Roll the balls in grated coconut. Store in an airtight in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
